helix piercing healing properly?

I've done the same thing with my double helix, and it took forever to heal because of the hoops. I think you should ask them to put some shorter labret bar into them and when they're actually healed you can wear hoops in them :)
Rings are notorious for causing irritation in piercings because of the movement of them so a labret would be better for healing overall. Also titanium is the preferred metal for healing piercings (as well as 14/18k gold) as it is the most body safe. Surgical steel is basically a mystery metal as well as containing up to 13% nickel which many people react too. If you can get the rings swapped to titanium labrets that would be better for healing but I understand not wanting to step on your piercers toes and tell them what to do.
